NEW YEAR: CHANGES FOR A FRESH START
Every individuals merit a second chance or a third particularly if it concerns the self. The New Year sends a message of hope to everyone who believes that second chance do not exist for them. If one desires a lift of a second chance on oneself, the start of the New Year is the best time to start with.
Small is Beautiful – Take Less
Excess means a quantity much larger than is needed when expend profusely deserve some cut backs. We must take a break from alcohol, much sugar and Trans-fats, drugs and stress.
Tryptophan is one of the essential amino acids that the body uses to synthesize the proteins it needs and is used by the brain, together with B6 vitamins, niacin and magnesium produces serotonin – a neurotransmitter and the body’s biochemical mechanism of sleep.
Tryptophan helps relieve symptom of alcohol relative ailments and aid against alcoholism, gives better sleep, anti-depressant and alleviate migraines.
Natural sources are dates, nuts, milk and cheese, mustard, spinach, tofu, asparagus and broccoli, cauliflower and mustard seeds.
Studies at Oregon Health & Science University found that people who consumed diets high in Trans-fats were more likely to have brain shrinkage and get down on thinking and memory tests, compared to people who followed a healthy diet, low in trans-fats [1] and high in vitamins.
Sugar Intake
Sugar energizes every cell in the brain and regulates brain chemicals. When there is an over-consumption of sugar, it may alter the brain receptors that influence brain chemicals. Sugar is an uppers, the pancreas releases more insulin that move glucose out of the bloodstream into your cells for energy. But your sugar level drops down that triggers you to search for more sweets to revive the uncomfortable condition.
Monitor your Weight
The best time to weigh-in is in the morning after a visit to the comfort room. To manage your ideal weight, then watch your calories, be stuck to your little, adequate portions of foodstuffs and weight it. Mainly, be concern on the kind of food you eat as well as its nutrition and health benefits.
A simple truth is that water is a valuable vital nutrient. Considering that our body’s weight consists of one-half to four-fifths, regulating the water within the body is the key to proper weight.
If water is taken before each meal, it aids in depressing the appetite and aids in improving constipation and prevents stones in the kidneys.
Water and Sweat
A regular work-out or exercises is a must. Remember that the more muscles build, the less room there is for fat to fit in. Muscles burns fat. But more than water loss, fat reduction is essential. Appreciate why sweat-stimulating exercises are promoted – because you lose water more. Running for instance or gym work-out, drink a glass of water before an exercise. Occasionally sip little amount of water throughout your routine. When finished, drink another glass to replace water loss, but remember that this will not add to weight gain, instead, it will promote better circulation.
Best Start: A Healthy Breakfast
One will find that weigh less upon waking-up in the morning because of the forced-fast from bedtime till morning – which leads us to the most important meal of the day; breakfast.
Everyone knows the traditional way of daily eating habits; a generous breakfast, a moderate lunch and a scrimp dinner. For others, lunch is the heaviest meal of the day.
A “baon” (Filipino word meaning ‘food-to-bring’ in school or work) or shall I call it survival food to bring along must be learn to be nutritious like banana, apple, nuts or seasoned fruits of low-sugar like mangos, cantaloupe or melon and not just junk foods.
This way, your baon intake (usually consume at snack-time) is able to source out some energy to get you going for an hour or so.
A perfect breakfast is one that covers low-carb, protein and material sugars.
Meaning: Fill with colored foods from nature pack with nutrients and antioxidants, like fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt, brown rice, beans or your own fruity or green smoothie concoction.
